PACs Are Killing Michigan: Green Party Candidates Are PAC Money Free

Political Action Committees (PACs) are the major stumbling block to political progress in Michigan and nationally. PACs allow the wealthy to pour massive amounts of their fortunes into politics – here in Michigan one single family spent 1.5 million just in our recent primary election. Read that again – THE PRIMARY election!

Public Schools are being de-funded and Charter schools advanced because of PAC money.

Pipeline #5 continues to threaten two Great Lakes because of PAC money.

Our roads are a disgrace and funding is withheld because of PAC money.

Here is a great graphic that a friend made for me (thanks Mary) to illustrate my point.

There is hope! Green candidates are NOT allowed to accept PAC money. Not even from a PAC that might be in total harmony with our 4 pillars. None. Zippo. That means when you put a Green in office, he or she will not be basing their votes and efforts based on which ever group wrote them the biggest check. We will work for the people of Michigan, not the PACs or the uber wealthy who fund them.

Mary helped me with this one – the Universal Sign for NO PACs in Michigan. Put Greens in office and we can make this image a reality.

I am running for the 86th District Michigan House of Representatives and I, like the other 32 Green Party candidates running for various offices around the state, are all 100% Certified PAC Money Free!
